crashed somewhere in the late thirties. The spaceship resisted the

with inside the cronicles of the Trigan Empire. Scientists from
all over the world tried to encrypt the books and after many years
one of them found the way to translate the books. Thanks to this

of the Trigan Empire.
With this introduction in the magazine Ranger The Rise and Fall
of the Trigan Empire was introduced to the readers of ‘the
magazine for boys’. It was a prestigious project, for which
the editor had hired two toptalents. Michael Butterworth wrote the
scenario’s for this space-opera and Don Lawrence drew the

the Trigan Empire became one of British molst popular comic-strips.
The first episode ‘Victory for the Trigans’ tells the
story of a group of nomads who, under the supervision of three brothers,
build their own city which will finally become the caiptal of a

without incidents and a cruel war is fought between the Vorgs and
the army from Loka. The Loka’s are defieded in battle and
the Vorgs choose an emperor, Trigo, one of the three brothers.
All ready in the beginning new characters are brought into the
comic. Trigo and his brother Brag. The scientists Perik with his
daughter Salvia and the son of Brag, Janno with his friends Keren
and Roffa.
The stories are set on the planet Electon and beyond. Everytime
the Imperium is treatened and everytime Trigo and his friends succeeds
in victory.
The comic-strip ran for ten years in Ranger and Look and Learn
in which Don Lawrence and Michael Butterworth were responsible for
over 48 stories. After Don Lawrence quit the Trigan Empire, the
series was continued by artists like Oliver Frey, Gerry Wood and
Ken Roscoe.
